The Pierz Lakers beat the Howard Lake Orphans 5-2 in Hutchinson in the Class C Quarterfinals. Ryan Chmielewski pitched 8 innings, striking out 9 and gave up just 1 hit.  Ryan lost his bid for a no-hitter when he allowed a 2-out single in the bottom of the 8th. Noah Cekalla then threw a 1-2-3 9th to nail down the Save. Noah Cekalla and Preston Rocheleau drove in runs in the top of the 3rd for the Lakers, then Pierz score 2 more in the 6th on a pair of Howard Lake errors and finally, pushed their final run across in the 8th on a solo Homer from Kamden Happke as the Lakers advanced to the Class C Semifinals.

The Lakers routed the #1 ranked Cubs 9-0 in Brownton to move into the Class C Quarterfinals. The Lakers jumped on Courtland early with an 8-run bottom of the 2nd.  David Kroger drew a bases-loaded walk, then Kamden and Kolten Happke smacked back-to-back 2-run doubles to make it 5-0. Chase Becker then laid down an rbi squeeze bunt, Preston Rocheleau had an rbi single and Carter Petron added an rbi double in the Lakers huge inning. The Lakers sent 13 men to the plate, hit 4 doubles in the inning and scored 8 times. Noah Cekalla drove in the Lakers final run with an rbi single in the 6th to make it 9-0.  Ryan Chmielewski went 7 innings, striking out 3 and walking 1 while allowing 4 hits to get the Win. Noah Cekalla finished the final 2 innings, striking out 3 and walking 1.

The Bears nearly pulled off a huge comeback against Roseau in a 2nd round Class C State Tournament game in Brownton. The Royals led 7-2 going to the bottom of the 9th when Opole came up with 4 runs on a squeeze bunt from Masyn Patrick, an rbi single from Brodi Huls and a 2-run single from Luke Bieniek to make it 7-6. But the Bears ended up leaving the potential tying run on 1st base to end their 1st ever State Tournament appearance.

The Brewers were eliminated from the Class C State Tournament with a close 2-0 loss to the Hanska Lakers in Brownton. Preston Veith went 2-4 and Derek Dahmen and Ryan Stuckmayer had the other 2 hits for the Brewers. Hanska scored 1 in the 5th and another in the 9th for the 2-0 win. Pete Schommer pitched well, going 8.1 innings, striking out 5, walking none and hitting 1 while scattering 9 hits.

The Foley Lumberjacks mashed 7 doubles as a team as they beat the Watkins Clippers 8-4 in the first round of the Class B State Tournament in Gaylord. Josiah Peterson had an rbi double in the 1st and a 3-run Homer in the 4th for Foley. Drew Beier was 3-4 with a double and a walk, Charles Hackett was 2-4 with a double, and rbi and was hit by a pitch, Ean Von Wald was 1-3 with a 2-run double and was hit by a pitch, and Joe Ziwicki, Dan Marod and Mitch Keeler also doubled for Foley. 5 different pitchers saw time on the mound for Foley with starter Logan Winkelman throwing 4 shutout innings with 5 strikeouts and allowing just 1 hit, but it was Trey Emmerich that got the Win in relief.

The Nisswa Lightning opened the Class B State Tournament with a 6-0 shutout of the Kimball Express in Gaylord. Blaine Hardy fired 7 shutout innings, retiring the first 11 men he faced, with 12 strikeouts and allowed just 3 hits to get the Win. Keaton Lingenfelter threw the final 2 innings, allowing 1 hit with 2 strikeouts. Neither pitcher allowed a Kimball runner to reach 3rd base in the game. Spencer Flaten put Nisswa on the board with a 3rd inning rbi single, then the Lighting got 2 more in the 6th on an error and an rbi single from Sam Peterson go to up 3-0. In the 7th, the Lightning got 3 straight run-scoring hits from Jeremiah Piepkorn, Sam Peterson and Drew Boland to make the final 6-0 and send Nisswa into the 2nd round.

The Pierz Lakers edged the Mora Blue Devils 2-1 in a Class C State Tournament 1st round game in Brownton. Ryan Chmielewski struck out 10 over 7 innings to get the Win and Noah Cekalla came on to throw 2 innings, allowing 1 hit and striking out 4 to earn the Save. Mora took a 1-0 lead in the top of the 3rd and the Lakers tied it up in the bottom of the 4th on a 2-out rbi single from Kamden Happke.  The Lakers scored the deciding run in the bottom of the 7th when David Kroger led off by getting hit by a pitch, then moved up on a 1-out single by Kolten Happke. A 2-out rbi single from Chase Becker scored Kroger to make it 2-1. Mora left the tying run at 2nd base in the top of the 9th as Noah Cekalla got a pair of strikeouts to end the game and send Pierz to the Sweet `16.

The Opole Bears made their first State Tournament appearance a memorable one with a 6-0 win over the Sauk Centre Titans in Gaylord. Keaton Gustin put the Bears on the board in the 1st with a sacrifice fly, and the score remained 1-0 until the top of the 9th when Opole pushed 5 runs across the plate. The Bears loaded the bases and then used back-to-back squeeze bunts from Tate Lange and Jordan Schmitz to go ahead 3-0. Masyn Patrick then singled to drive in 2 more runs to make it 5-0 and Brodi Huls capped the inning off with an rbi single of his own to put Opole ahead 6-0. Tate Lange blanked the Titans over 8 innings before David Heinen came on to pitch a scoreless bottom of the 9th and send Opole to the Class C Sweet 16.

The Randall Cubs lost 11-0 in 8 innings to the Leavenworth Orioles in the 1st round of the Class C State Tournament in Gaylord. The Orioles had 2 big innings, scoring 4 times in the 2nd and then scoring 7 times in the 8th.  Brett Strack went 2-3 and was hit by a pitch, Alex Gwost went 1-4, Nate Benning was 1-4, Zach Gwost was 1-3 and was hit by a pitch and Rick Drew was 1-3 with a double for the Cubs, who saw their season come to a close with the loss.

The Pierz Brewers beat the Luxemburg Brewers 4-1 in the 1st round of the Class C State Tournament in Hutchinson. After falling behind 1-0 in the 1st, the Brewers took the lead for good in the 2nd on a 2-run single from Michael Nezerka to go ahead 2-1.  Gunnar Wicklund led off the 3rd with a solo Homer to make it 3-1, then the Brewers added an insurance run in the 9th on a Phil Zynda rbi double to make it 4-1. Pete Schommer got the Win, throwing 6 1/3 innings with Gunnar Wicklund then pitching through the 8th. Brayden Haberman (draftee from the Pierz Bulldogs) pitched a scoreless 9th with 2 strikeouts to earn a Save.
