Pierz Pioneers vs St. Cloud Cathedral Crusaders Baseball 2025

The Pioneers fell 7-6 to the Crusaders at Hellie Field. Kaden Kruschek led off the game with a Home Run and Brayden Haberman added a1st inning sacrifice fly. After Cathedral scored 4 times in the 4th to go ahead 5-2, and another in the 5th to go up 6-2, Pierz got a 3-run Homer from Bo Woitalla to make it 6-5 and then Brayden Haberman made it back-to-back Hr's with his solo shot to tie it up at 6-6. The Crusaders scored the game winning run in the top of the 7th on a 1-out rbi single by Jack Hamak to make it 7-6. Pierz got runners to 1st and 2nd with 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th but couldn't tie things up as the Pioneers fell to 3-4 on the season.

Pierz Pioneers vs Little Falls Flyers Softball 2025

The Pioneers earned a season-split of their series with the Flyers with a dominant 14-4  win in 5 innings at Pierz. The Pioneers were aided greatly by 8 Flyers errors but Lizzy Gross went 3-5 with a triple, 2 stolen bases and scored 3 runs, Laura Young went 2-3 with a walk, a steal, 1 rbi and 3 runs, and Payton Kimman 1-4 with 2 rbi and a run scored. Erin Thesing threw a Complete Game, allowing just 4 hits while striking out 9. Leah LeBlanc hit a 3-run Homer for the Flyers.

Pierz Pioneers vs Foley Falcons Softball 2025

The Pioneers played their first extra-inning game of the year, losing 6-4 in 9 innings to the Falcons in Pierz. Trailing 4-3 going to the bottom of the 7th, Pierz forced extra-innings when Natalie Knutson singled with 2 outs, then Hayden Sam smashed a game-tying triple to score courtesy runner Ava Phillips to make it 4-4. Foley scored the decisive runs in the top of the 9th on an rbi single from Josi Pozorski and another run scored on an error to make it 6-4. 

Pierz Pioneers at Melrose Dutchmen Softball 2025

The Pioneers suffered a 7-3 loss to the Dutchmen in Melrose in a matchup of Section 6AA teams. Trailing 4-0 after 5 innings, the Pioneers scored 3 times in the top of the 6th to make it a 1-run game. Natalie Knutson had an rbi single followed by a 2-run single by Delilah Rocheleau in the 6th. However, Melrose responded with 3 runs of their own in the bottom of the 6th to earn a key win. 

Pierz Pioneers vs Milaca Wolves Baseball 2025

The Pioneers offense had a good day in a 10-0 win in 5 innings over the Wolves at Hellie Field. The Pioneers broke up a scoreless tie with 5 runs in the bottom of the 3rd with a bases loaded walk from Danny Litke, a 2-run single by Grady Young, an rbi single by Preston Saehr and a run-scoring triple by Brayden Haberman. Pierz added 2 more in the 4th on an rbi single by Sawyer Lochner and a sacrifice fly from Preston Saehr, They then posted 3 more in the 5th on a 2-run double from Bo Woitalla and a game-ending, walk-off rbi single from Sawyer Lochner for the 10-0 win. Brayden Haberman fired a Complete Game 2-hit shutout with 7 strikeouts.

The Pioneers let one slip away as the Flyers scored 3 times in the bottom of the 7th to rally for a 10-9 win over Pierz. Sam Pint had the game-winning rbi in the 7th with a ground ball to 1st that scored Abby Henry with the winning run. Lizzy Gross went 4-4 with 2 stolen bases and scored 3 runs, and Natalie Knutson was 2-3 with a pair of doubles, a sacrifice fly and 3 rbi. Aylah Iverson went 3-4 with a Home Run and 3 rbi for the Flyers. Sequoia Kicker threw a Complete Game for the Flyers to get the Win while Erin Thesing went the distance and took the Loss for Pierz.

Pierz Pioneers vs Royalton Royals Baseball 2025

The Pioneers fell to 1-3 for the season as they lost 7-4 to Royalton at Hellie Field. The Pioneers built an early 3-1 lead but the Royals rallied with 2 in the 3rd and then took the lead with a 4-run 5th inning. Brayden Haberman was 1-3 with a walk and 2 rbi, Preston Saehr went 2-3 with a walk and scored twice, Bo Woitalla belted an rbi double and Kaden Kruschek walked 4 times and scored twice. Ethan Albright had a big game for the Royals, going 3-4 with 2 doubles and scored 3 times, Sean Schmidtbauer, Keaton Nelson and Matthew Swenson had 2 hits games as well for Royalton. Brady Yourczek picked up the Win for the Royals while Kaden Kruschek took the Loss.

Pierz Pioneers vs Pequot Lakes Patriots Baseball 2025

The Pioneers earned their 1st win of the season with a tight 1-0 win over the Patriots at Hellie Field. The Pioneers only run of the game came in the 2nd inning when Brayden Haberman scored on the back end of a double steal executed with Sawyer Lochner. Brayden Haberman threw 6.2 innings, striking out 11, walking 2 and allowing 3 hits before having to leave due to the pitch count rule. Preston Saehr came in and got the final out on a strikeout to earn his 1st Save. The Pioneers offense continued its early season struggles, collecting just 2 hits with Nathan Solinger singling in the 3rd and Link Toops singling in the 6th.

Pierz Pioneers vs Foley Falcons Baseball 2025

The Pioneers hosted the Foley Falcons in their Home Opener at Hellie Field and it didn't go well as the Falcons rolled to a 9-1 win. The Pioneers managed 5 hits against the Falcons, getting their lone run in the 3rd on an rbi single from Brayden Haberman, scoring Kaden Kruschek. Haberman went 2-3 with an rbi, Jackson Thielen was 1-3 with a double and Bo Woitalla and Kaden Kruschek added hits for the Pioneers, who fell to 0-2. Gavin Wirth, Teddy Rasmussen and Noah Gapinski had 2-hit games for Foley.

The Pierz Pioneers Baseball team opened their season with a 3-1 loss to the Flyers in Little Falls. Brayden Haberman pitched well, allowing 3 unearned runs and only 3 hits while striking out 6. Brayden Haberman went 1-3 at the plate with a 4th inning rbi single. Kaden Kruschek, Nathan Solinger and Bo Woitalla had the other hits for the Pioneers. The 3 hits for the Flyers came from Prescott Romaine, Izaak Kalis and Bobby Toure. Peter Knopik tossed a Complete Game for the Flyers with 5 strikeouts.
