Upsala Blue Jays vs Spring Hill Chargers 2023

The Blue Jays lost 13-5 to the Chargers in the Victory League vs Stearns County League Challenge in Avon.  Levi Lampert went 1-2 with a double, 2 walks, an rbi and scored 2 runs while Matt Swanson, Jeremy Mugg, and Nick Frieler had run-scoring hits for Upsala.  Eric Terres and Devin Orbeck had 3-hit games for Spring Hill. 

Fort Ripley Rebels vs Pierz Lakers 2023

The Rebels won a tight 1-0 game over the Lakers at Hellie Field.  Bryce Flanagan threw 7.2 innings and Brett Kramer worked the final 1.1 innings to secure the victory.  Josh Hukriede drove in the game's only run with a 5th inning single to score Mason Argir.  Hukriede was 2-3 with a double and an rbi for the Rebels while Noah Cekalla, Pete Herman and Kolten Happke the Lakers only hits in the game.  Bryce Flanagan got the Win and retired the first 13 men he faced in the game.

St. Mathias Devils vs Pierz Brewers 2023

The Brewers beat the Devils 12-4 at Pierz Legion Park as Kaden Kruschek went 3-3 with a double and drive in 4 runs and Gunnar Wicklund was 4-5 with a double to lead a 16-hit attack for Pierz.  Luke Zontelli had a 2-run double for St. Mathias.  Peter Schommer got the Win and Rylee Rauch qualified for a Save with 4 innings of work.  

St. Stephen Steves vs Buckman Billygoats 2023

The Billygoats downed the Steves 8-2 at Trobec Memorial Park in St. Stephen.  Matt Tautges went 4-5 with a double, Andrew Rueckert was 3-5 with 3 rbi and Lane Girtz, Jack Suska and Noah Boser all had 2-hit games as Buckman banged out 16 hits.  Matt Tautges threw 8 innings to get the Win.  Mat Meyer was 3-4 with a double for St. Stephen. 

St. Wendel Saints vs Avon Lakers 2023

The Lakers shut out the Saints 3-0 at Blattner Field as Cole Wellmann and Elian Mezquita combined to strike out 15 St. Wendel batters.  Caleb Curry delivered a 2-run single in Avon's half of the 3rd, then Cole Wellmann led off the bottom of the 8th with a Home Run to complete the scoring.  Logan Harren and Tanner Reis had 2-hit games for St. Wendel while Elian Mezquita had a 3-hit night for Avon.

Swanville Swans vs Freeport Black Sox 2023

The Black Sox blanked the Swans 2-0 in Freeport as Iver Pake fired a Complete Gamr 4-hit shutout with 10 strikeouts.  Matt Johnson delivered a 1st inning sacrifice fly and then tripled to lead off the bottom of the 8th and scored on a single from Ben Millard for the games only runs.

Nisswa Lightning vs Randall Cubs 2023

The Lightning beat the Cubs 12-7 by pounding out 5 Home Runs in Randall.  Sam Peterson went deep twice and Nate DeChaine, Jeremiah Piepkorn and Kody Ruedisili also homered.  Trailing 9-1 in the 6th, Randall scored runs in the bottom of the 6th, keyed by a 2-run single by Dylan Lukasavitz, a sacrifice fly by Tyler Vetsch and a 2-run double by Nathan Benning.  Nick Ackerman got the Win, making not 1 but 2 pitching appearances in the game.  

Pierz Bulldogs vs Opole Bears 2023

The Bears downed the Bulldogs 10-4 at Hellie Field, breaking open the game with a 7-run top of the 7th inning.  Isaiah Folsom threw 7 strong innings to get the Win and Alex Lange, Dierks Opatz and Hunter Boeckerman all had 2-hit games for Opole.  Max Barclay went 2-4 with a triple and an rbi for the Bulldogs.

Pierz Brewers vs Nisswa Lightning 2023

The Lightning beat the Brewers 7-3 as Aaron Jenkins tossed 5 shutout innings and Chris Pederson had 3 hits including a double for Nisswa.  Jesse Marshik led the Pierz offense with a 2-run triple.

Fort Ripley Rebels at Sobieski Skis 2023

The Rebels edge the Skis 7-6 on Opening Day as Bill Sather and Brett Kramer both launched late-game 2-run Homers for the Rebels.  Gabe Hirsch belted his first career Victory League Homer for the Skis in a 9th inning comeback attempt.
