Pierz Bulldogs vs Pierz Lakers 2023

The Lakers cruised to a 12-0 win in 7 innings over the Bulldogs at Hellie Field.  The Lakers had a 5-run bottom of the 1st and another 5-run inning in the 3rd.  Carter Petron allowed just 3 hits in his shutout, striking out 9.  Brady Petron and Ryan Diers belted Homers to highlight a 14-hit attack for the Lakers. Craig Luberts went 2-3 and Chase Becker was 1-3 for the Bulldogs.

Flensburg Falcons vs Swanville Swans 2023

The Swans beat the Falcons 13-4 in Swanville but needed a 7-run bottom of the 7th to break the game open. With the score tied at 4-4 at the 7th inning stretch, Jordan Sales had a 2-run double, a Flensburg error allowed 2 more runs to score, and then Levi Beseman clubbed a 3-run double to make it 11-4.  Cooper Thieschafer got the Win in relief for Swanville.

Pierz Brewers vs Pierz Bulldogs 2023

The Brewers beat the Bulldogs 8-2. 2nd inning rbi singles by Teddy Dehler and Brayden Haberman gave the Bulldogs an early 2-0 lead but the Brewers got a 2-run double by Preston Veith in the bottom of the 2nd to tie the game, then Gunnar Wicklund doubled home 2 more and Jonah Prokott added an rbi single in the 4th to go ahead 5-2.  The brewers then tacked on 3 runs in the 7th on a wild pitch, an rbi single by Peter Schommer and a sacrifice fly by Jared Prokott. Peter Schommer got the Win on the mound for the Brewers, working 7 innings.

Upsala Blue Jays vs Sobieski Skis 2023

The Skis handled the Blue Jays 13-1 in 7 innings at Sobieski.  Scott Litchy threw a Complete Game for the Skis.  Collin Eckman went 2-3 with 4 rbi's and Beau Thoma smashed a 3-run Homer for his first Victory league round-tripper to lead Sobieski. Levi Lampert hit a solo Homer to account for Upsala's lone run. 

Avon Lakers vs St. Stephen Steves 2023

The Lakers captured the regular season South/West Division championship with a 3-2 win in 10 innings over the Steves at Blattner Field.  With St. Stephen leading 2-1 going to the bottom of the 9th, Avon got a 2-out, bases-loaded walk by Peyton Randall to tie the game at 2-2.  In the bottom of the 10th, Ryan Janzen scored from 2nd on a St. Stephen throwing error to give the Lakers the 3-2 victory. Elian Mezquita earned the Win in relief. 

Freeport Black Sox vs Randall Cubs 2023

Despite getting just 1 hit in the game, the Black Sox beat the Cubs 3-0 in Randall.  Freeport got a 2-out walk in the 4th, the Iver Papke doubled to drive in a run with what turned out to be Freeport's only hit.  Freeport added 2 runs in the 8th on a sacrifice fly by Carter Neuenschwander and a steal of home by Matt Johnson.  Andrew Kerzman worked 8 innings for the Win with Carter Neuenschwander pitching a scoreless 9th for the Save. Brett Strack went 3-3 and Kyle Peterschick and Hudson Filippi had 2-hit games for Randall. 

Buckman Billygoats vs Fort Ripley Rebels 2023

The Billygoats beat the Rebels 4-1 at Nier Field to clinch the North/East Division regular season title. With the game tied 1-1 in the top of the 9th, Buckman scored 3 runs without the aid of a base hit.  There were 4 hit batters, 2 walks and a sacrifice to put together the winning rally.  Matt Tautges pitched a Complete Game to earn the Win. 

Pierz Brewers vs Avon Lakers 2023

The Lakers edged the Brewers 2-0 at Blattner Field in Avon with the only runs coming on Reese Gregory's 2-run Homer in the bottom of the 8th.  Cole Wellmann got the Win for Avon.

Pierz Brewers vs Opole Bears 2023

The Bears blanked the Brewers 6-0 at Hellie Field as Isaiah Folsom gave Opole an outstanding effort on the mound, going the distance, scattering 6 hits while striking out 5.  Folsom also went 3-4 at the plate, Max Posch was 2-4 with an rbi double and Hunter Boeckermann added 2 hits for the Bears.  Ryan Stuckmayer went 2-4 for the Brewers.

Buckman Billygoats vs Avon Lakers 2023

The Billygoats edged the Lakers 8-6 at Pierz Legion Park.  Joe Kahl belted a 3-run double in the bottom of the 4th to give Buckman a 3-2 lead.  The Goats then used 4 hits and 4 Avon errors to score 6 times in the 7th to go ahead 9-2.  Avon did rally for 4 runs in the top of the 8th with rbi's from Carter Holthaus and Caleb Curry, but the rally fell short as Matt Tautges closed things down to pick up the Win.
