Nisswa Lightning vs Carver Black Sox Class C State Tournament 2023

The Lightning opened defense of their Class C Championship with a 14-2 thumping of the Carver Black Sox in Delano.  Nisswa had a 6-run 2nd inning, keyed by a 3-run Homer from Aaron Jenkins and bases-loaded walks to Tyler Wittwer and Matt Casperson as well as a sacrifice fly from Kody Ruedisili. The Lightning then added another 5 runs in the 4th with a 3-run Homer by Nate DeChaine, a bases-loaded walk to Kody Ruedisili and a sacrifice fly by Jeremiah Piepkorn.  Their final 3 runs came in the 5th on a 2-run single by Matt Casperson and an rbi single by Aaron Jenkins.
